On Thursday 5th February 2026, Year 5 went to Wellingborough Mosque. First, we went on a coach. It took around 25mins to get there. Before we went inside the building, we put our scarves on to show a sign of respect to the Muslim religion. Then we entered the Mosque. We took our shoes off to keep the place clean. Normally, Muslims clean themselves (Wadha), although we didn’t. After that, we went into the prayer hall. The Iman, the minister of the Mosque, first explained the 5 pillars – Shahadah, Salah, Zakat, Sawm & Hajj. The best part was when the Iman read a short verse of the Quran. We had a nice time. Coen G
Today, Year 6s went to a Mosque in Wellingborough. We went in, took off our shoes and went into the prayer hall. A man talked to us about the five pillars and the ways Muslims show respect in a Mosque. It was an interesting experience, and I hope we can do something like that again in the future. Lucas F
After arriving at the Mosque, we got off the coach and went in. When we got inside, we had to take our shoes off and put them on shelves. In the prayer hall, there was a thick carpet with red lines on, facing diagonally. We had to sit on the lines, so we faced the right way to Mekkah. Then the man explained to us all about the five pillars and what Muslims have to do. Then the man let us ask questions and talked to us about them. Alice M
