This year the children have voted to support the charity, Medical Detection Dogs. The school council invited all children and staff to have a non-uniform day on Wednesday 11th March in exchange for £1.00. The money will go towards the training of these amazing dogs, so that they can use their incredible noses to sniff out tiny scent changes in human breath or sweat. The dogs can then alert people to dangerous, invisible health conditions before symptoms start.
The charity delivered an assembly to explain in more detail what they do, and the children got to meet one of their amazing dogs! We raised a total of £440.22.
