Year 3 & Year 4 Trip to Twycross Zoo September 2025

On Thursday 25th September, years 3 and 4 went to Twycross Zoo. When we were on the coach there was so much noise and everyone was so excited!  The first thing we saw was the monkey section. The chimpanzee was very funny because he looked just like a

human! They were all mostly eating and resting. I wish I could do that all day! The next thing we saw, was the Penguin. The Penguins were all jumping in and coming over to where we were going and going crazy! After that, we went to see the tall giraffe. It was so tall and we had to be extra quiet. The giraffe was moving very slowly and elegantly. The one thing that was amazing was the giant turtle and it was mind blowing how big it was. Then we had a rainforest session. The lady called Jess talked about the rainforest. We made the Amazon rainforest. When we had seen everything we got on the coach to go back to school. It was an amazing day!

My favourite part was the giraffes  because they have beautiful patches that are brown and yellow.

I loved it when we went near the chimpanzee. It was like I made a new friend. I will always remember the monkey with a moustache. It looked like a cartoon character. I liked the workshop because I was part of the understory.

Isla N

When I saw the bonobo I really wanted to stroke it and I really liked it when the gorilla sat down looking at me. I loved the giraffes because they were really calm.

Caden W

I loved the rhinos because it looked like they were kissing!

Alby B

I really liked it when the monkeys were swinging across the ropes and showed us what moves they had.
