On Tuesday 17th May myself, 6 willing staff and 66 members of the KS2 Choir arrived once again at the World Resorts Arena to attend the Young Voices mass choir experience! This experience was more exciting than usual as the children, parents and staff had waited a staggering 18 months to engage in this after it was postponed due to Covid last year and again this January…. the excitement from the children clearly reflected this throughout the day! At the arena we were joined by almost 6,000 other children from across the country who had eagerly been rehearsing a repertoire of songs and dances to perform with many famous artists, including The Overtones and Urban Strides. As always we were incredibly proud of the children who not only behaved brilliantly but were a credit to our school and their parents. I have no doubts they have spent the last few days (as I have!) singing away to themselves their favourite songs and reminiscing on the lifelong memories that they have made. Many thanks must also go to not only the staff and parents but also to the generous PTA who funded the coach for this experience. Mrs Marsh

Firstly we got our bags and went on the coach. When we arrived we ate our lunch and then made our way to rehearsals. During rehearsals we met many famous people. Then when rehearsals were done we ate our dinner and the parents started coming in. We had a great time singing with our friends and enjoyed listening to the special singing performances and dancers such as Urban Strides. After a tiring, long day we got on the coach and some of us even had a little sleep! It was really fun. We wish we could go again. We arrived back at 11.30 and really enjoyed the visit to Young Voices 2022. Megan and Chloe I Yr 6
