As we know having a quick recall of times table facts is so important and enables children to focus on problem solving. As a school we have launched the 144 Club. Each week children will practice times tables and complete a grid in 5 minutes which will re-enforce their recall. Each half term, children will then have the chance to achieve a level in the 144 club. The table below shows which times tables are focused on at each level, completed within 5 minutes. The aim is children will either maintain the Master level or improve so they achieve the next level up.
The photos below are all those children who have achieved either the Master level or Gold level. All other children who have achieved Silver or Bronze have also received a certificate.
There has been a ‘buzz’ in classrooms about the 144 club so thank you to all children for being so motivated and energised.
